TJ : yeah I expected to see that by the end of the week
TJ : although down 7.33% isn't good news
TJ : the dow has lost 40% of it's value in the last year
Ian : yeah. that's bad.
TJ : ~10% over 5 years
TJ : up 8.6% over late 1998!
Ian : erm, that's good I guess.
TJ : as in right after the .com bubble....
TJ : you go to before the .com bubble burst and we're down 5.78%
Ian : what part of 'the sky is falling' aren't you getting here TJ?
TJ : the sky isn't falling
TJ : stocks are
TJ : which are a horrendous measure of the economy
Ian : well, how are the other measures doing then?
